Aside from how lame Nicki is now anyway (I mean, I LOVED Nicki before I heard “Starships” and wanted to gouge my ears out), this was super disrespectful. I mean, I understand that the DJ’s shouldn’t have been talking shit (especially since it’s their job to promote and get people hyped in a positive way), but professionalism is professionalism. Then again, I’m sure she’s still mourning the loss of the real Nicki (via “Starships”)…
I just feel like they didn’t put enough of a spin on it to make it sound original. Still a great song, just didn’t sound like they made it their own.
