Something really strange has happened: suddenly, I want her to do really well. Also, it was nice to see her laugh when Dave asked her to come back tomorrow night. Finally got her to drop her guard, which is what I think her problem is.

This album is fuckin’ good, and I was expecting it to be shit. I remember watching the Strokes on SNL with my mom back when I was 12, and they’ve had me since. Minus FIoE, no matter how much I wanted to like it.
The Rolling Stone review is the only one I really agree with so far, and that’s coming from someone who refuses to buy an issue anymore, because normally their music reviews are just shit, afraid to be good or bad on new artists, and mostly middling.
I love seeing Letterman enjoy bands. He’s obviously biased by Victoria’s being an attractive female, but still.
