yeah and obviously stereogum makes a living off such a “dissing”
why hate those that are violent and honest? you how many nice people are actually evil and how many “mean” people are honest?
since when do chillwavers have emotions?
thats for us new sincerity kids, BACK THE FUCK OFF! let us have panda bear john maus and ariel pink, keep the toro y moi and washed out for the south by southwest fans
honestly at the start of the first 2 minutes i enjoyed the side screen on sync to the beat kind of like gondri, as far as overall imagination it’s poor but compared to what these days? i’ve seen so many crappy videos maybe my mind is numb but i appreciate a video with a girl who doesn’t end up naked, any video really, any representation of a woman with power is wonderful to me, although the video overall is poor.
everybody just wants to dance and nobody can appreciate heart
atleast excited about a tracklist :)
yeah i remember liking it too and being like “oh shit, is this gonna have to be one of my guilty pleasures like kesha?” “must i be a fan of the underdog?” “must i defend him at the macy’s day parade?”
i think this is a sign i can trust my initial instincts and not have to re-examine if they were tainted by the conspiring influential music media world.
yeah these are the elements i enjoyed about it and i don’t listen to rap, liking rap wouldn’t make me better at noticing these qualities in an album :)
his reviewing is consistent, he didn’t review an album and give it 5 stars and then say “wait a minute”, he’s saying “wait a minute” about albums that pitchfork/stereogum ivory cases have unconditionally praised or blamed off the bat.
you have a good point about critical reception losing its credibility after everything is getting leaked 4 months ahead our first evaluations aren’t coming predisposed.
who can get any thinking done with that playing?

yeah they should of been hit in the face with a giant pie and made to move around a bit
i talked to wayne coyne at the panda bear show in dallas and he was totally macking on some girl, he was incredibly nice though. i told him “that video with hella was so awesome!” and he goes “oh you mean lighting bolt?” and i go “shit my bad” but he said “no worries man, glad you liked it”
you guys know that “i wanna get high but i dont want brain damage” song? that one is awesome
