I’d say his hotrod is more green than yellow.

Alex Chilton is one of my favorite songs ever.

I don’t really care about their fans (though they are annoying), but I do find the music to be adult alternative schlock. But I’m pretty sure it’s okay if Scott and others like it, no?

On a separate note, whats with the trend of rebutting any criticism of one’s guilty pleasure with “but they’re such good musicians”? Who cares? If you like something others don’t, fine, but that reasoning holds no water. If I think a band writes bad songs I do not care how well they can play their instruments. Give me the Ramones or Dylan over John Mayer any day.

I’ll bet Dancing with Swords wins best Viral Video as it is automatically selected for everyone who doesn’t choose one.

ferns is allowed to be offended. Just saying, “hey, it’s satire” doesn’t simply excuse everything.

Ah, the old classic, “he’s got a gay friend so clearly he can’t be homophobic” line.

I like that you say he’s 20 (which he is), then say “did i mention, he’s only 19″, and then say, “after all, think of when you were 17,” and finally “he is revealing the corners of the 16 year old brain.” You could just keep dropping his age and say, “think of it, it’s amazing that he can rap at all considering he’s only 2 years old!”

But he’s not, he’s 20. Equivalent of a junior in college. You can’t pretend he’s just some little tyke.

Well I like Mastodon’s “Seabeast,” and as for other things that at least according to wikipedia are close to the metal family, which to mean seem more “hard rock” are bands like The Jesus Lizard, Dinosaur Jr., Mclusky, Fugazi, MBV, J&MC, At the Drive-In, Motorhead. Any recommendations based on that random assortment of bands?
