Find Me On:
It would’ve recalled “Local Business” too much if they had just left it like that.
-Shugo Tokumaru’s In Focus?
-mewithoutyou’s Ten Stories
-Passion Pit’s Gossamer
-Titus Andronicus’ Local Business
It was kind of amazing to hit up their facebook page after this aired and see a lot of people declaring themselves new fans. It kind of makes you wonder how well they could’ve done with wider exposure.
Yes. Shut up.
Left disappointed when I found out that he didn’t cover Whitney Houston WHILE breaking up a fight.
Sweet. Sweet hookup.
I also thought that was really strange…
Please do Cincinnati next: 513. So much good music just now coming up in that city.
Matt Berninger makes everything better.
3 of the top 5 articles on Stereogum are about Lana Del Rey…
Are you just not a Shins fan? This is very par for the course with Mercer & Co. If you don’t like this song, you probably won’t like the rest of their stuff.
Sounds a lot like Cursive. Doesn’t really sound like there is any experimentation happening here. And that is a good thing. It sounds soooo good. The last album was really disappointing. I am now less cautiously optimistic about this one and more just optimistic.
Wow The Lion’s Roar was so incredibly boring to me, and that kind of music is actually right up my alley. This album, however, completes me. I wanted John’s solo album to be stronger, but including the three songs from the EP makes it feel a bit incomplete.
This post made me burst into laughter. Thanks for that.
Yeah I saw them open for Peter, Bjorn, and John on the “Living Thing” tour and it did absolutely nothing for me. I really think this album sounds noticeably different than the first though, so that might be why.
I am pleasantly surprised by this. I’m really enjoying it.
I can’t even figure out how you could be a huge fan. A huge fan of what? Two songs?
Exactly. It isn’t indie either.
There are no excuses to be made. She’s terrible.
Wow everything I just listened to of hers was terrible. No thanks.
Friends. Perfect album from start to finish.
