Street Flash is one of the best songs ever made. Just putting that out there lol
they played this at coachella too in ’11. it was awesome then, awesome now.
Regardless of one’s opinions on Axl or the bands subsequent material, this album is perfect.
but to answer tom’s questions:
Lingering thoughts: still a perfect album (though I was not born when it was released)
fav song: Nightrain
wish: Axl and Slash were still on speaking terms. sad to see a band split like they have.
and i don’t buy the argument that supporting these teenagers’ violent music is only worsening the problem. No, supporting this music, which I genuinely do enjoy (Young Chop has crafted some excellent, monstrous beats), is helping these kids escape Southside Chicago. No one chooses the life he is born into, and these kids got put into really bad situations. NOT supporting this music just increases their chances of never getting record deals, and more importantly, never escaping. Victimized by circumstance. Good for Lil Reese, Good for Chief Keef, and good for the countless others who follow in their footsteps and want to actually make it to see 21 years old.
really sad what is going on in Chiraq. Love the music, but man I hope this opens up some eyes. It’s a war zone.
was there in person. really was a magnificent show like always from the boss. but man, it was nuts seeing so many people just stunned that the sound could be cut on two living legends mid song. even the mayor of london came out and said shit was ridiculous.
at the moment, youtube says this songs has 309 views. that’s impossible, because i know i’ve listened to it a million times already. what a beautiful song. is it now okay to officially expect great things from this album?
no clue what you are talking about with regards to mercy.
mercy and new god flow are both truly awesome songs.
ITS FINNA BE A HOTT SUMMER
also, this list proves that the 90s >>>>>>>>>>>>
THANK YOU FOR THIS POST
mercy grew on me, big time. pumped for this album
YES!!!!!!!!!
Radiohead @ Centre Bell tonight to celebrate my achievement!!!
Thank you, internets
#DiploShots
jk, but for real though, im gonna go be a DJ now
hahahaha i know i was just joking. big fan of both bands, but not pumpkins anymore. not the same band without original crew. first three albums were so on point though. i found it funny that corgan said the new album was the best pumpkins album in 15 years. should have just said “pumpkins haven’t made a decent album in 15 years”. but for real though, radiohead >>>>>. and there was absolutely no need to take shots at Jonny, come on now. the man is just simply a genius musician. i suggest that mr. corgan attends a radiohead show and watches jonny the whole time. maybe then he’ll understand.
Pablo Honey is better than every Smashing Pumpkins album
ahahahha. exact same first reaction. pumped nonetheless
There’s hope for the world after all
my god
As per 4AD website: “In advance of the album’s release, an edit of a brand new track, ‘No Evidence’, is available to download from the widget below. The full version will appear on the album.”
it’s an edit of the song.
THANK YOU BASEDGOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
agree with this post 100%. prefer Lil Bs raps over just the instrumentals. hopefully clams liberates the instrumentals for the two tracks he had on that #1 record. Those i would like to hear minus the “raps”
don’t speak for everyone. i will always like the chili peppers, regardless of their relevancy in the blogosphere.
Formula for a shitty, uniformed comment: listen to one Springsteen song + make sweeping generalization about entire catalog.

nice try.
