The “enourmous bass player” is Adam Blackstone, who’s the musical director for Justin’s tour. he’s worked with Janet Jackson, Jay-Z, and John Legend….among others. One of the best in the business.

Because stupid kids support this garbage. And apparently no one at Stereogum actually knows good rap.

Alchemist has been flying under the radar all year.

Rich Forever shouldn’t even be close to the top 10. There’s hardly any replay value, and it’s basically the same Rick Ross we’ve heard time and time again. Life is Good should definitely be in the top 5.

But then again, any list that has Roman Reloaded on it instantly has no credibility.

How is Nas #29, but Rick Ross is #7? Jesus Christ……

Sorry to be a spelling nazi, but it`s Arron Afflalo, not Aaron.

Cool story bro

“I’m biased though because I do not care for his style of music.”

Yeah, that’s not negative at all….

“Wow. All so-called “next great rappers” have to get through this kid first.”

Kendrick Lamar called. He already kicked the door in, sorry.

Hot 97′s festival is declining every year. I don’t get why it’s in the top 10.

I went to Bonnaroo for the first time last year and I had no bad experiences. Maybe I got lucky, I guess….because everyone i came across was pretty awesome. It seemed like a majority of people were respectful of those around them, and everyone was really just having a great time and enjoying the festival.

Waka Flocka on this list and no Big KRIT? Jesus Christ.

This makes no sense….but ok.

Holy typos. My bad.

 +1Posted on Dec 18th, 2011 | re: Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums Of 2011 (200 comments)

Admittedly I come form a mainly hi-hop background, so I can only comment on the placement of so many albums on this list. But the fact that “Take Care” is higher than Section 80 and is arguably not even a top 10 hip-hop album THIS YEAR just screams dumb to me.

0Posted on Nov 17th, 2011 | re: Album Of The Week: Drake Take Care (58 comments)

Uh, The Greatest Story Never Told, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang, Section 80, Charity Starts at Home, Cole World: The Sideline Story, Watch the Throne…..

Not taking anything away from Take Care (which I’ll admit is growing on me), it’s arguably not even top 5 in terms of albums of the year form a hip-hop perspective.

Then uhh…..don’t bother to listen to any new Black Keys songs?

0Posted on Oct 27th, 2011 | re: Odd Future Remix Lana Del Rey (17 comments)

So you’re one of those hipster douchebags I’ve been hearing about,

Unlike other artists that play the part, when Tyler says he doesn’t give a fuck, he REALLY means it.

“Lyrically, they channel the first Geto Boys’ record, and their attitude, music and presentation bring a similar dark aggression. Odd Future is the new Bad Brains, but I think the mainstream will embrace them even more.”

Questlove is spot on there. That fact that they’re not “user friendly” in a musical sense is what makes Tyler and OF so appealing. But the music snobs will always hate on something that isn’t deep and full of meaning.

Because some people need the attention.

Then don’t listen to it.

Or maybe you’re just an idiot.

He’s a bitchass punk, yet you’re calling him out in a comment board? Ok….

0Posted on May 23rd, 2011 | re: Tyler, The Creator Responds To Tegan & Sara (239 comments)

Goblin selling 50k in a week means that a lot of people really could care less what people might think of OF in a negative way.
