I feel as though this list is very solid; making me want to go back and listen to many records that I may have missed or never really given a fair shot to. That being said, I can’t believe there is no love for The Walkmen, Father John Misty, Woods, The Mountain Goats, Macklemore, Lambchop, Kishi Bashi, Jack White, Dr. John, Divine Fit, or Andrew Bird (I could keep going with artists who put out some great and thought proving records)… I am not arguing that all those artists deserve to make some subjective list; rather I am arguing that if these lists, are at least on some level attempting to introduce people to new great music, why include Frank Ocean and Kendrick Lamar 6 times on a list of 100 songs? They deserve it my eyes, but I just feel as though many artists get snubbed in the process.
kishi bashi — “bright whites”
The Boy In the Bubble
this list is pretty solid … (just a tad bit of sarcasm there)
Young Lust.
Pet Sounds.

Hissing Fauna, are you the Destroyer?
what was condescending about that?
everyone should stop downloading the new weeknd mixtape so I can.
and the hazy sea…
this sounds great, but I don’t think I can look at this band the same since they succcccked live… also they are known to be jerks, so the aforementioned comment may be not surprisngly true.
I think they nailed the top 5, but there are certainly other parts of this list that are a bit mehh.
Observation: people constantly complain about the predictability of these lists, then complain when artists that should be “predictable” are not on the list
This list is pretty meh (terrible at points), but respect for putting jamey johnson in the top 5 list.. don’t really like that record too much, but still enjoy the fact that they didn’t add another “elton john” type in that spot.
