Agreed.
Forever love.
I love Bloom and I love R.A.P. Music so much that I purchased both. Both are serious contenders for a spot in my Top 10 albums of 2012 come the end of the year.
Genuine classic.
Pretty much garbage throughout – couple of “moments” early on, nothing as good as Monster though – and it just confirms that Minaj thinks she’s competing with Gaga, Rihanna, etc when she should be competing with Jay-Z, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Drake, etc.
Would’ve been nice to hear an actual Sleigh Bells’ version rather than a straight up cover.
Love it, love it, love it.
Fantastic album. Definitely in my own personal end of year list.
It’s a pretty dire album. I’d rather listen to Shabazz Palaces or Ghostpoet, and you can call me a hipster as much as you like.
This album is going to be so bad.
It’s true, Chris’ songwriting gets better with every song. I do wish there were a few more “rockers” though.
Love the album. Can’t choose any stand outs just yet – I’ve only listened to it twice so far – but I do adore “Just a song”
Christopher Owens has done it again.
Agree. No hip-hop touches Shabazz Palaces right now.
It’s a good record, and I believe he has it in him to make a great record, and for where he is now in his career I think it’s fair to say he has plenty of time to reach greatness. I feel that Syd Tha Kid’s mixes are what let’s the album down, in all honesty, because some of the songs lack the power they could’ve packed if mixed better.
Truly believe this album will go down as one of their greats. 2011 has given us some great albums so far and this is definitely up there with the best of them.
Me too
Hail To The Thief is the longest and, in my opinion, the weakest.
It has some good tracks – Monster, Gorgeous, So Appalled & Runaway – but overall it’s just an average album. It would benefit from some serious cuts in length to the majority of the songs – Runaway included – and the track All Of The Lights is just pure awful. People got majorly carried away with the praise for this one.
Warpaint :: The Fool
LCD Soundsystem :: This Is Happening
Deftones :: Diamond Eyes
No Age :: Everything In Between
The National :: High Violet
Abe Vigoda :: Crush
Beach House :: Teen Dream
The Soft Pack :: The Soft Pack
Black Keys :: Brothers
Male Bonding :: Nothing Hurts
Really like this , and would love to hear them record a full length, as there is nothing like Robert’s voice. It’s a voice that brings so much to this song, the version on II did nothing for me. This get’s played on loop.
Suburban War has been on repeat for the last 2 hours. I love this album and that track in particular.

My hero.
