Agreed. Considering “England” is one of my favorite songs of theirs, I found that sentence a little bothersome.

I believe Modest Mouse has been in the studio. At the very least, they were working on something with Big Boi.

The folks over at Aquarium Drunkard crowned Father John Misty as the best album of the year. So there are at least two places on the internet.

It can take “Radiation Ruling the Nation’s” place.

Obviously, you’re entitled to your opinion … even if it’s wrong … but it’s never a bad thing to be on Radiohead’s dick.

New Fiona Apple and Grizzly Bear tracks on the same day! Surely, the music gods are smiling upon us.

Finally!

If “Moonjock” is a song title, it’s definitely an Avey tune.

It sure was nice of the Goodie Mob guys to show up on the new Cee-Lo Green album.

Well, there is new Sigur Ros coming too. Not to mention, Animal Collective, Grizzly Bear, Dirty Projectors are likely to all drop records this year. The big releases are coming!

So it’s still too early to say this will be the best record of the year, right?

Doesn’t look like it’s going to work quite the same for you.

Replace Justin Vernon with Wayne Coyne, and the answer is yes, yes I will.

Want to pick up that Danny Brown release. Also intrigued by the Feist/Mastodon covers. … and of course, I’ll want to get that Beach House 7″.

… damn you, Record Store Day. Damn you.

Thom Yorke’s dancing is majestic … in the most awkward way possible.

I think this cements his genius. Your failed attempt at internet sarcasm aside.

I wouldn’t reduce him to a fad. If his self-titled is any indicator, he’s certainly capable of reinventing himself. It’s one of the more interesting records released this year, though admittedly it’s a bit more “potential” than realized product. PJ Harvey’s record is brilliant too, but in a different sort of way. Hers is the work a veteran whereas Blake seems like someone who’s still exploring what he can do.
