There’s actually an interview with Billy at SXSW where he’s asked which artists of today are making great albums, and Billy answers Radiohead.
It’s been said before, but I don’t think this is a specific attack on Radiohead. Again, headline taken WAY out of context.
Also, there is one word which makes all the difference in stereogums article, which seems to be stirring all the trouble -
‘Billy Corgan had some words for Radiohead and THEIR “pomposity” in a recent interview.’
where as billy really said -
‘I’m attacking THE pomposity that says this is more valuable than that.’
At no point did he say it was Radiohead’s pomposity
