No Hundred Waters?? For shame, Stereogum. For shame.
The change from Midnite Vultures to Sea Change is one of the reasons Beck is my favorite musician (band?) even though it shows how clearly he can portray emotions in his music. One album he’s singing songs about the freakiest sex imaginable and JC Penney and in the next he’s written some of the most heartbreaking songs ever.
Dude. This album rules. Beck rules.
HALF GATE DUDE WHAT
But seriously though, this whole album is a “DUDE WHAT” experience. Once I acquire adequate funds, I’m purchasing this vinyl. Cheers.
Yeah it’s about 60% of the reason I get any of their stuff, even if I don’t really like the artist that much. Thankfully they have A LOT of good artists on their label.
It’s off of “Gluck Music”
I’ve never heard of it, either.
Best album cover of the week, for sure
Still waiting for my art book from Africa, Deakin! Just because Wide Eyed is a great song doesn’t mean I’m not waiting for it!
It was pretty good… then that unreasonable dubstep portion came in. Totally out of character for the song. The portion when those twenty somethings were running through the woods is pretty good, I wish they lengthened that part out instead of throwing in the totally over the top, ridiculous wubstep.
Ah well. As a Muse fan, this is very disappointing.
Coffee & TV
This album took a bit of listening to get into, more so than the last record, I think. I expected to be more immediately gratifying like the first but right now I’m VERY pleased with where it’s at now. Makes me want to see this band EVEN MORE live now.
“Do you want to go see the shitstorm I just created on Stereogum?”
Daft Punk Holograms makes the most sense on this list.
That just brightened up this gloomy, rainy day. Thanks, Kindness.
it’s okay, I got to the gif eventually.
The kid dancing with the paper airplanes is my new favorite thing.
Das Racist one for sure. I love pyramids
Welcome to the Machine – Pink Floyd
Shawshank Redemption
Shine on You Crazy Diamond – Pink Floyd
Genesis – Grimes
Fuck yeah summer jams.
Nah it’s just lighter in instrumentation and stuff like that. Definitely sad and heavy lyrics wise. Very very good though.
I’ve been listening to Tennis and Perfume Genius all this week, so it’s pleasing to get some good, old-fashioned, breaking things punk up in your face after all that sensitive happy whatnot.
Dude. Where the heck is RubberJohnny?

Billy Woods?
