If you’re extremely successful, then you should share your monetary success with your collaborators. I don’t have any problems playing with people I know for free, but if they’re rich and famous for their music, they should share a cut of the profits. I’m sure her band was being paid for the NIN tour, even if the expenses ended up adding up to a higher sum. Nine Inch Nails helped her out by providing a paying gig with tons of exposure. She’s offering musicians no compensation and basically no exposure, as sidepeople.
