There were many brains melting over in the Afghan Whigs community as this was streaming.
I wonder if it was to do with the mix? The guitar sounds really soft compared to how it does on record and at their shows. If he’d gone full pelt, he might’ve drowned it out.
Needs more Afghan Whigs. A run of awesome live shows, and an amazing cover of LoveCrimes made for an amazing year from them.
I’m confused. Did they run out of money for the animated section, or the live action segment. I don’t understand why it needed both.
Still, nice idea, and it’s good to hear the Killers sway away from Disco and back to Springsteen.
Just got back from the show in Perth (Western Australia) and this was played in the encore. Definitely a highlight of the set.
huh… huh… huh huh… you said ‘in-her’… huh…
Magical. It’s so amazing to have them back, finally.
Enjoy the tour American people!
Actually not to try and jump to his defence because he just needs to be quiet about this stuff, but his recent tour was basically their new album from start to finish with a few hits thrown in at the end. Even on their last tour, the set was made up of all new stuff, which didn’t go down all that well with the crowd I was in.
I guess they didn’t hear the rule. You never go full Skrillex.
No no, it’s spelt ‘douche’.
Have you read the 33 1/3 book about Gentlemen? Now You Know is made all the more awesome after reading about it was recorded.
It makes me so happy to see all this Whigs love around on the internet right now. Make me even happier to see those first two dates on the tour schedule. I’ll be at both shows. A dream come true.
The 90s + Ra’s Al Ghul’s Lazarus pit = Carson Daly
Beautiful. And Greg is looking really slim these days too! Good on him!

YAY!

They were playing this one towards the end of their live set on the last tour to Australia. It was an awesome contrast to the stuff of Valtari, which I found to be a little too sleepy. Can’t wait to hear more.
