Missing is mind-melting
I think this album is better than Songs For The Deaf and I find it strange that you focused on contributing artists.
Your downvotes are undeserved. Queens are a great live band to experience, but I would never show a live version of a song to a QotSA newbie before I showed them the recorded version.
With that said, conversely, I think we should withhold judgment on these songs until we hear the recorded versions.
I agree. I prefer this dark, serious Josh to the kind of Sassy Bitch Josh from Sick Sick Sick, Misfit Love, I’m Designer, etc… Don’t get me wrong, I like Sassy Bitch Josh; I just prefer him in this style.
This album is going to be SO. AWESOME.
Why Fred Armisen?
The RIAA has found a way to make their job more relevant: creating GIF images of how irrelevant the RIAA is becoming.
Yes, yes you do need to find that.
So, this is awesome.
It kind of does, now that you mention it, except 10x more random and insane.
…am I the only person who sees that this review is simply “0″? Is this some huge Stereogum inside joke that I’m missing out on?
I have since changed my mind. Ignore previous comment.
I’m starting to question my own musical taste because I don’t particularly care for either song. I am clearly in the minority
Centipede Hz is fantastic! This is obviously a matter of opinion. I absolutely loved it, and this was the best I ever heard them live. I wish they had either Brother Sport of Today’s Supernatural up, though, because those were the best ones from the set.
This record is a dud, sorry. I’m calling the emperor’s new clothes on this one. The Eraser was excellent and had memorable melodies to it. This is self-indulgent nonsense.
Everybody knows you never go full Aphex Twin. You went full Aphex Twin, Thom. Never go full Aphex Twin.
This is….awesome?
QOTSA is number 1.
In related news, Chris Brown and Rihanna are back together. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/11/25/rihanna-chris-brown-together-tweets-photo-shirtless-brown-in-bed_n_2188510.html
That is pretty much how Lefsetz talks all of the time.
Well, I’m not your buddy, friend!
I hypothesize that rubberjohnny0829 will someday get a special place in Stereogum hearts, just as Steve Winwood got over at Videogum.
Try getting a reservation at Dorsia now, you stupid fucking bastard!
Thay tk our jaaaaaaaarbs!
Nope, this isn’t cool, isn’t art–just annoying. People who paid money to see Atlas Sound songs should be upset.

One of the best things that my friends and I have come to realize is that we all disagree on favorite songs. Mine are Vampyre, Missing and the title track. It seems like everyone has different favorites, which might hint at a solid album through and through.
