I’ve always felt these guys are fun to see live but not very exciting on record. This was a funny interview though

I wish I’d of known of it’s previous existence. I recall the majesty when the studio version of “Brothersport” was leaked after it was toured so awesomely. Succeeding in exceeding high expectations
Also, the beginning of “Worship You” reminds me of “I’ve Just Seen A Face” by the Beatles
After I was a bit let down by Contra this feels like a real return to form. I second the Unbelievers love and would also submit Worship You as a favorite track

I skip through these videos and I can’t help but notice that no one appears to be having much fun. They’re probably there just to say that they were…there. I’d be the asshole that would start yelling for a different song about an hour or two in. This is like a restaurant being fully stocked for thanksgiving but only serving mashed potatoes. Give me turkey or give me death

I agree with what seems to be the consensus that this is a darn good song but I’m a bit put off by the chipmunk additions to the chorus. Hope that aspects a grower. I love the driving drumbeat and soft background piano
Rambling note: I don’t like watching a lyric video on my first listen of a song. Feel like it’s difficult to truly focus on a song and make an opinion regarding it if I’m also reading along and interpreting lyrics, while a good music video sans lyrics can enhance the experience for me. I’m generally a good multi-tasker (I swear). Maybe 3rd of 4th listen I’d go the lyric route.

This song always reminds me of Built to Spill, in a good way (good like gravy)
Here I thought I knew all of Built to Spill’s music and then I see that I only have Perfect From Now On through You In Reverse. I gost some catchin up ta do! They’ve always been the sort of band that I like and would recommend, but have never fallen in complete love with. I saw them last year for the first time and it increased my infatuation with him severalfold. Great show
It may not be the most hard hitting track, but I think it has some good elements here that will translate well to the studio. A good slow burner similar to “Someone’s Missing” or “I Found A Whistle”
I always check out these R.I.P. posts to see who passed away in the music industry even if I haven’t heard of them. But you lost me after 4 words. Cuck Fountry, right!?! That phrase didn’t work as well as I thought it would. Mall hats make it look easy, but it isn’t

I thought it was funny, he has good taste in korean ladies and the music wasn’t terrible. Compared to most of the pure shiz that is popular these days, this could be much worse
It is ironic though that Jason Molina’s record label was “Secretly Canadian”, because if he was secretly a Canadian then he may of gotten the medical care that he needed
