Lust for Youth brings nothing original or interesting to the table. We’ve heard all of this already from synth punk and new wave bands that were actually breaking ground years ago. Why are so many music outlets suckers for derivative shit? Is there some kind of PR mandate going around where people have to cover this garbage?
Let’s try harder not to celebrate rehashed fashion and move on.
awesome album art.
*148,529 too many porn site visits.
It would be truly beautiful if they pulled a 2 Live Crew and “simulated” sex with chicks on stage during shows.
The Zep cover would be cool, too.
you lost me at “because being a louder band involves so many more elements at which one may excel.”
try telling that to the “technically brilliant” jazz or classical (or countless other genres) virtuosos you just completely discounted. you clearly don’t know much about creating music.
Before I even looked at the list or the comments, I said to myself, “I won’t be suprised if they decide not to put The Soft Bulletin at #1 for some reason, but I won’t be happy about it.”
Then, I looked at the list.
Then, I threw a flaming bag of shit at the computer screen.
Then, I left this comment.
Brad – you REALLY think there are two (TWO?!) Lips albums better than Bulletin? This has nothing to do with site traffic or comment fodder? Have you listened to all of these albums? More than once?
Then, I cleaned my computer screen.
This picture’s giving me a nickelfront.
