i don’t mean this in a dismissive way, but–
it’s funny how most people seem to be satisfied with Kid A ranking highly
while lobbing the same criticisms at animal collective
that Kid A faced when it was released (“too electronic, no songs”)
i love albums that underwhelm me at first only to ultimately expand my horizons
and pitchfork or no pitchfork animal collective did that the most for me personally this decade.
still confused about no lifted, though, and maybe the wrens can write a new album in time for 2020.
