It’s incredible how these live performances put the album (The King of Limbs) into perspective and help me enjoy it even more.
Now does that mean the album would have been better had they toured with these songs before recording, or does it mean the albums just 2deep4me and i’m just starting to get it.
Is the rest of that EMA album better than this Marked song? I’ve been wanting to check it out, but I was definitely not into that song.
I’d like this better if the song were better.

I WISH Godsmack and Puddle of Mudd had sounded like this.
That being said, I’m still not all that into this. I get the 70s prog influences and all that, but I feel like the vocals are to generic and safe compared to the music. It puts me off to the rest of it, unfortunately.
Regina Spektor isn’t exactly an “indie type” anymore.
Maybe if she was on the show after releasing Songs or 11:11.
Honestly, i need to know, are people having issues with just the beginning of this track, or the ENTIRE thing, like, everything past the 2:30 minute mark TOO?
I just don’t see it. Sure it doesn’t sound like Radiohead or Thom Yorke’s solo stuff but it’s fucking amazingly fun and good when it gets where it’s going. I’m really excited about him moving in the direction of that sound.
Maybe I’m easily offended, I dunno.
But, the assumption that I could or would care about this for any amount of time is quite offensive.

Maybe i’m reading into all this a bit too much, and I hope i’m wrong, but what I got from this was a very cryptic message that the band are amicably calling it quits and that INNI is our last release from them.
Like I said, I hope i’m wrong, and I may be way off the mark.

She put more songs on an album than was needed and this is somehow a problem?
If you don’t want those songs, fucking delete them or throw that disk away.

The Antlers are so incredibly boring. Every one of their songs sounds like I just came in during the bridge in the middle of a mediocre REM or Radiohead song.
Seriously, I wanted to like them but every song sounds like i’ve heard it a thousand times over.
I’m confused as to why Joanna Newsom was brought up. Are you suggesting that Have One On Me could have fit on 1 cd? Are you complaining about too much music.

I had forgotten how much I hate Bill Hicks.
So I noticed the Cocteau Twins reference on the last track’s title, and now i’m noticing that there’s a big influence on their vocals for this mix tape.
A lot of the words/vocals are muffled to the point where his voice is just another instrument, something Liz Frasier perfected while in Cocteau Twins. Interesting, but so far it’s not quite as good as House of Balloons.
That was a pretty weak performance, honestly.
That was goddamn awful.
Sometimes it seems like M.I.A. has absolutely no sense for what sounds good.
How anybody ever found this shit funny is beyond me. And it’s not like it was before my time, because it wasn’t.

Lol, as if they haven’t been doing silly stuff like that for a few years now.
With this in mind, I remember hearing all this same shit when By The Way came out. I don’t know how people feel about that album now, but I feel it’s definitely one of their best album, and it was one where they experimented and tried new sounds–like what we’re hearing here.
This song isn’t half as bad as people are making it out to be. I’m liking the texture on this new guy’s guitar playing.
I agree with all of this except Burst Apart.
Probably the most overrated album in a long time.

I can only assume you’ve never heard a Venetian Snares album if you were impressed by that at all. The dude was doing that kind of stuff years ago.

It’s not cool to like Coldplay anymore, but I’ve accepted that they’re just a pop band. They’re not doing anything groundbreaking or original, but I’m glad this is the kind of stuff that will get noticed by the general public who only cares what’s popular. I respect them for that. They could have just spent the rest of their career as just another James Blunt-esque pop band and i’m sure that would have made them happy.
Also, this song is way better than that first song.
