Both Washed Out and Real Estate didn’t get as much love as they deserved. Also, Julian Lynch continually gets slammed. And no Cass McCombs? He produced two superb albums in one year.
Maybe my music tastes are diverging from the stereogum/p4k crowd, but man what a lame year in music overall.

Julian Lynch’s “Terra” is one of the tops so far this year.
Overall, underwhelming year imo.
Identikit reminded me of Animal Collective a little bit at first for some reason. But then it got really good and Radiohead-like.
