Thanks for doing this feature. I run the venue at the Flying M and it’s great seeing the area’s music community being appreciated for what it is. I like what the above poster said in regards to the idea that Boise would be the next Portland, etc. where it’s great for Boise to just be Boise–because I get portland, san fran, seattle, etc bands telling me often what an “oasis” certain aspects of our community are. I think many of those Portland and Seattle kids see the value in a musical community like what’s ours is becoming ( there’s still aspects that need to improve) and they may need a place to “fly away to, too.” Anyway, I think any attention Trevor and Youth Lagoon are getting is great too, as we likely wouldn’t be having this conversation otherwise. Deserved attention has illuminated the many others in our musical community whom, likewise, are deserving of attention.
