No Between the Buried and Me – The Parallax II or The Faceless – Autotheism? Come on guys, I know it’s not “hip” to like prog-related stuff and I don’t even consider Parallax as one of BtBaM’s best, but both of those albums are better than about a good bit of what’s on here IMO.
And I have to agree with the majority here about Pallbearer, just can’t get into them at all. Not to mention that they were boring as hell when I saw them live.
Kishi puts on a really fun live show. The album is ok as a whole, but “Manchester” is easily one of the best songs of the year.
I kinda feel that way about DIIV. Really cool sound, just very derivative and not very interesting.
Agreed. Plus, Pitchfork hates them so that automatically makes them even better, lol.
Was very disappointed by Major myself. Losing Nicholas Sadler and his “mathy” guitar chops that made their debut so good was a huge hit on the band.
