I’ve never been able to get into Agalloch — it just doesn’t click for me.

I’m only now hearing the newest Ash Pool and am digging it, and I like that new Magrudergrind EP that all the grindcore folks think they aren’t allowed to like. And that Twilight LP was a real stinker.
I preferred Crystal World over Territories on the Locrian front as well. I’m also pretty late to the party on Thou, but that record rules. More NOLA metal that I didn’t see: haarp. That album kills.
