how are there no comments on this? this is a breathtaking performance. i’ll be seeing them in boston next week!
god, she is sexy.
I think there is a slight difference between solo and Heartbreakers material. For me, there is a warmth to his solo records that isn’t really present on any band album (except maybe Into The Great Wide Open). Wildflowers, Full Moon Fever, and Highway Companion share that “warm” sound… I think the only member to be present on all of his albums is Cambell. The day Mike leaves, the Heartbreakers are done.
this is wonderful. a good petty track– surprised to hear this much “jamming” on a heartbreakers studio cut. glad the band is getting out for the summer! truly one of america’s greatest song writers.
ZZZZzzzzzzzzzzz
dirty projectors < cute girls holding guitars
FWIW, great read on Wilco…. Some interesting Tweedy bits regarding Jay Bennett
“oh noooooooo….” pretty much how I feel after watching.
and +1 for booger comment
this should be a good record. here is to hoping that andy cabic was involved; anything that man touches turns to gold.
this saturday= oberst and wilco!!! wooo!
i diggggggggg
i’m stoked for this. also excited to being seeing oberst/wilco together later this summer!
“furr” is realy a wonderful record… also, everyone should check out their record store day 7″. Those two cuts are WELL worth the listen. Cool report, thanks!
i have such a crush on joanna newsom. also, this band blows.
i’m so stoked for this. i’ve never seen molina before, and plan on catching at least one of these dates.
i’ve been spinning my copy of ‘didn’t it rain’ obsessively over the past few days. what a fantastic album.
going to play ‘summerteeth’ in his honor. though i’m a some what new wilco fan, it is fair to say that i appreciate the early wilco records as much as the next guy. a sad story indeed…
cliffnotes please.
ordered. orange vinyl = sweet.
thanks stereogum. my music collection is indebted to you.
this will be epic. i just noticed that they are touring this summer. awesome!
i love i & w.
what a lousy beatles cover.
never heard of frank black’s demo tape. any idea where i may find a copy?
nino rojo is his finest. i like the new track “baby” though. i feel like he rarely tours the east coast– i’d love to see him.
vetiver 7″
looking for a copy of the live I&W.. anyone know where i may be able to get one?

new spoon isn’t very good, but “gimme fiction” and “girls can tell” are fantastic. neat to see them playing with bradford, wish he came out when I saw the two together in boston a few weeks ago.
wasn’t too impressed w/ the deerhunter set… interested in seeing them again though, only because “microcastle” is such an epic album.
