Find Me On:
OH MY GOD I am so excited for this album.
I listened to his entire discography! Which was actually quite nice, because I’ve never listened to a single one of his albums before. And they were pretty good!
I don’t like this idea. Like, at all. Because (a) the commenting community here is nothing at all like that over at Videogum, where comments get 100+ votes, and (b) people here really don’t seem to have much to say other than these sorts of things.
However, this is an opinion from someone who hardly ever posts a comment, so feel free to disregard this completely.
I find it a tad infuriating that you seem to hold two opposing opinions of this duo. “They didn’t need extra members” vs. “They were becoming stagnant and uncompelling.” Whatever. This track is awesome.
I don’t, actually. I find that he’s at least three times sexier without it.
“Plea from a Cat Named Virtute” by The Weakerthans.
Anybody else get a sudden craving for Dippin’ Dots?
I get to see them in SLC this week! *brag brag brag*
Is there really any point in arguing about an entirely predictable list (as far as rankings don’t play into it, anyways) made by an unbearably dull and irrelevant network such as Vh1, the top spot of which could be called before one could even read the word “Of”? Just asking.
Jemina Pearl looks like she was having a fucking blast.
No tour dates? For shame!
Does Jónsi look like Klaus Nomi to anybody else? Because he looks so much like Klaus Nomi to me.
Does anyone else think Summertime Clothes is the best song of the year? Or am I just lame?
New Sufjan Stevens AND Arcade Fire albums? I think all of the hipsters just had simultaneous orgasms.
Also, I hate to be the nerd, but that press photo is, like, three years old.
It’s a testament to how shitty the sound is in the Tonight Show studio that even Grizzly Bear doesn’t sound that good in it.
Any award show that puts Animal Collective against 3OH!3 is a show that I’m not watching.
How is it that so many other albums are better than Illinois? That record is a masterpiece.
Geez, what does New Moon think it is? Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist?
I love Grizzly Bear and all, and Sean Pecknold is fine, but, to quote the dean, “What in the fuck was that, Kanye?”
No one is saying that Kurt Cobain is super-important, just that it’s very disrespectful to his memory to use his image in a way that goes against almost everything he stood for. It’s great that Activision are fans and tried to include Nirvana somehow, but not so great that “Kurt Cobain” performs songs by Bon Jovi and Flava Flav. Maybe they should work on that.
How about Yeah Yeah Yeahs?
Yes, Radiohead does have a best of. It was released last year and you can buy it pretty much everywhere.
Are they saying what I think they’re saying? Because if they are, what assholes.
I beg to differ. Letterman was pretty good, but this was absolutely incredible. The solo? The drummer? The mix? The way she hits her guitar during the second verse? All perfect.
Also, isn’t that the guy from We Are Scientists? Huh. Weird.
