where is my new Spoon LP? it’s time to stop this Divine Fits nonsense
Holy Shit, “Step”. So good.
“Thinking of a Dream I’ve Had” is so underrated. They hardly play it nowadays but I still believe it’s the best song they’ve ever written. It should have the same status that “The Rat” has.
this sounds absolutely nothing like Hot Chip
AHWT at number 9? No way.
Transcendental Youth at number 3?! No way!
Album: Dirty Projectors – Swing Lo Magellan
Song: Todd Terje – Inspector Norse
Video: Rhye – The Fall
New Artist: Elite Gymnastics
TV show: Mad Men
I wholeheartdly agree with the top 4 but Summer Sun is such an underrated record.
Yeah, that’s just puzzling. Expectations! I Don’t Love Anyone! And those two aren’t even the best songs on that record.
Let’s agree to disagree, shall we?
1. Sinister
2. Tigermilk
3. Push Barman
4. Life Pursuit
5. Arab Strap
(big gap here)
6. Write About Love
7. Fold Your Hands
8. Dear Cataatrophe Waitress
9. Storytelling
(Waitress at #2 is just insane. Mediocre songs, terrrrrible production. Ugh)
Can’t happen soon enough *fingerscrossed*
“Keep Your Eyes Ahead” is one of the more underrated albums of the past 10 years. This song, however, not that good…
Great Song. But 128 kbit/s-download? Is it 2002 again? Goddamit.
In light of how many of those reunion albums turned out to be absolutely fucking terrible (Stooges, Big Star… seriously, the list is endless. Dinosaur Jr. and Mission Of Burma are probably the only exceptions) i’m totally fine with acts who just keep on touring and not releasing anything new. Remember Bam Thwok?
They’ve now got the same problem as Spoon. They reached that certain plateau where ir’s kinda difficult to get yourself excited for a new album by them because, literally, their whole output is so consistently great.

I liked every song of theirs so far but this is a massive disappointment. Really bad production, sounds like a demo.

Of course it’s kinda unfair to expect a huge musical evolution with every album but this for me this is the first Radiohead album that’s just “another Radiohead album”. The cool thing about Radiohead was always that they’re trying to incorporate as many electronic sounds as they find while still being a guitar band underneath.
I see Thom Yorke’s DJ-Set and it’s obvious that he’s really into Dubstep, Four Tet etc. and i don’t know why but i kinda expected that Radiohead will experiment with Dubstep (sub-bass) sounds on their Post-In Rainbows record or maybe let their sound evolve even further in anonther direction. It didn’t happen. Well, nothing happenend at all. “The King Of Limbs” is just another collection of Radiohead songs that we’ve already heard at some point in their career.
i honestly dislike all these bands except craft spells which i think don’t belong on this list anyways.
there’s some really really great production on this record.

they’re officially baaaaaaaack.
