I don’t think anyone has ever asked someone to become a musician, it’s a dream people follow, nobody is guaranteed to be rich or a success. Anyone making music from now on should understand that it’s not as lucrative anymore and should just focus on making good music that they can be proud of.

As the bands name may have suggested already, this is pretty soulless to me. I really don’t see how anyone can like this and be taken seriously.

The only place fails as an album title and a song, kind of a letdown after Crazy For You was a good album title and song.
I feel the same way, I don’t hear anything charming crafted into this song. Instead of evoking california it is literally about it.
What you are saying is spot on, I don’t even really want to follow bands anymore though, I would rather just hear the best few songs a band has to offer.
This song is at the most on par with Teen Dream, not a life changing song.
My favorite part was getting to kiss Alexis Krauss on the mouth.
