they still can’t win with half these kids even after their better then decent album and one of their best performances.

Bright Eyes production wasn’t all that grand till the last record. Lifted is a messy album.

The new album on first listen seems to have lost the first album’s certain something.
Eh, I don’t think there’s really much point in a conversation about which religion ask it’s members for some ridiculous compensation. Judging a man’s music based on his personal beliefs is a little much for me. Someone’s religion might be weird to us, but their music or art form shouldn’t suffer for it.
Can we all just shut up about the scientologist thing?
All religion is a bit…hm…perhaps skeptical?

How much do modest mouse and national play at these shows?
Well, I think weezer is one of those bands that when their albums became produced like mainstream music it lost some of it’s dignity. Think about it. Pinkerton and Blue Album are extremely human albums. Some of the lyrics on the blue album are as dumb as these. However, you can actually feel Rivers yelling over the guitars. Now, he just yells beneath their poppyness.
Still, it could be worse. It’s kind of fun if you put down your weezer defense.
