Harold And Maude Official Soundtrack (Finally)
Yes, 36 years after the film's release, an official H&M soundtrack's out in an edition of 2500 on Cameron Crowe's vinyl films. (Cameron blogged about it last fall.) The package comes with posters, booklets, a 7", an on multi-colored vinyl ... and it's all in collaboration with Yusuf Islam, credited as Cat Stevens on the cover. Speaking of Cat, such a great moment in Cougar history.

Just be careful with this order. I got a copy through light in the attic recently. The packaging is incredible. The 7 inch bonus is awesome, the finally looks cool.
but.....
The first 20 seconds of each side skip horribly. Not in a scratched vinyl way, but in a raised groove (for lack of a better term) sorta way. With a limited pressing, I wonder how many of LPs this affected. Just a heads up. I say, take the risk, cuz you're getting a lot of stuff with this. Just wanted to put that out there

Yeah, the last *new* record I bought was ever-so-slightly warped. I need to wait a few months for a nice hot day so I can flatten it out. On the other hand, my car can't play through a CD without skipping at least a handful of times.
Digital, on the other hand, is awesome sauce. Thanks simon08!

I ordered my vinyl copy through Insound and don't have any skipping issues, so clearly not all of them are affected. Maybe you just got unlucky js.

Light In The Attic says: "Sorry, item is Out Of Stock! Please check back in 2-4 weeks."
Insound says: "Backorder."
Are there no more?

You can order from auralexploits.com, which has a ton of different colored vinyl editions.

@js - I ordered it the day it came out... everything has played completely fine on my turntable without a single skip. Maybe you got a dud?

Does anyone know how much this retailed for to begin with? I just bought one off of Ebay - and worth every penny I paid for it. It was so fun to discover all of the cool things that came with the package.
