"In Rainbows is, at least in our opinion, our classic album - our Transformer, our Revolver, our Hunky Dory."

A simply awesome Thom interview, in which, among other things, we find out just how many people paid the maximum allowed £99.99 for the In Rainbows download: 15! Betcha they remember each one of those 15's name, too. Which would make for the ultimate icebreaker next time you bump into the band hanging out with Britt Daniel at HiFi.

Only 15 eh? I was one of them. I thought there would be more than just 15. I actually did it as an experiment to see what the band thought was a reasonable ceiling. If it were 999.99 I most likely would have not done it, but I was OK with 99.99. There was a pop up message which told me that I could purchase the physical box set for less than what I was offering for the download which I had to click to. I was with that. I also purchased the box set which arrived a few days before christmas. Its more like a book box set which was very nicely put together. I've done some record pressing myself so I know how expensive it can be. The vinyl is very good quality as is the printing. It was a steal at 40 pounds which is all they would let you pay for it.

no offense but you are nuts paying that much money for the download and then buying the discbox as well.
