Jenny Lewis Goes Solo Again

Jenny Lewis Goes Solo Again

We're not sure if the Watson Twins are joining her, but Jenny is taking a break from Blake and the Under The Blacklight crew for another record in her own name. She'll have tons of other company on the LP, though, including beau Johnathan Rice and Interpol touring member "Farmer Dave" Scher (huh?), along with guest vocalists Chris Robinson, M. Ward, Elvis Costello (whoa), and Zooey Deschanel. Jenny and Zooey will be in the same room. What a hot great idea. (Hat tip to Muzzle of Bees for the heads up.)

Excellent news. I really like Rilo Kiley (including Under the Blacklight), but Rabbit Fur Coat was an unbelievably good album and any more of that would be more than welcome.

Awesome! "Rabbit Fur Coat" is definitely one of my favourite albums so this is very exciting to hear. And Elvis Costello? Holy crap, that's wicked.

Sounds cool. I like the idea of her and the guests. Under the Blacklight still ate poop though.

Thank God! Rabbit Furcoat was excellent and Under The Blacklight hurt my ears.

Doesn't Chris Robinson seem like an odd choice for a guest on this? But as one of the few people on the planet that is a Jenny Lewis and Black Crowes fan, it sounds intriguing.

Yep, good news. Should wash out that bad taste left from Under the Blacklight.

Hey Anthony, you're not the only Lewis-Crowes fan out there. Well, at least the Crowes circa 1992-95.

Great news, can't wait for the release, and her tour with Conor! However, I gotta disagree....Under The Backlight is amazing, and the songs work great live!!! Let's let artists try new things!!!!!
