New Arcade Fire Video - "Black Mirror"

Another interactive Neon Bible passage, featuring art by Tracy Maurice. Have fun toggling the un deux trois quatre cinq six tracks, and expect a spate of homegrown bootlegs now that we have newly isolated AF audio to mash.

Is it okay to like them again yet? Or are we still hating on them?

I extracted, zip'd, and uploaded the original source files from the site (not transcoded or anything). It wasn't any difficult feat either - it's like they're asking to be remixed... Anyways:

Yeah, we all have heard about Arcade Fire a lot in the past few months, but this video piece is pretty inventive. I like it! Good job Win. You can keep my basketball.

The credits said it was directed by Olivier Groulx, who seems to have made most of the post-prod work.

I know it's not my connection or anything, but the instruments started getting out of sync pretty quickly, especially the piano. Nice looking, I suppose, but I liked Neon Bible better, too.

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...

Quit Your Day Job: Megafaun

Raleigh-via-Eau Clair BTW Megafaun debuted impressively earlier this year with Bury The Square. The trio nip-and-tuck experimental tendencies (tape splicing, white noise colliding with banjo, junkyard-laced spring reverb, screeching feedback at the tail end of a quiet back porch lament)...

Premature Evaluation: of Montreal - Skeletal Lamping

Skeletal Lamping is anything but skeletal. When we took a close listen to album closer "Id Engager" we mentioned it wasn't the strangest, most ambitious, or best tune on of Montreal's new one, but after absorbing the other 14 tracks,...
