New Futureheads - "Beginning Of The Twist"
Tribute to Chubby Checker, this is not. This Is Not The World preview, this is. UK quartet the Futureheads pile on more herky-jerky beats and new wave satisfaction on "Beginning Of The Twist," which is more of what you'd expect from the Sunderlanders. It's catchy enough, although sorta slight; we like this one better, but are thankful for the opportunity to post a Dick Clark pic.

La Blogotheque had a homemade video for this one a few weeks ago. They were just walking around London at Christmastime playing the song acoustic.
Between this one and Broke Up The Time, I'm optimistic for the new record after classic debut and a disappointing 2nd effort.

"from the Sunderlanders."
One thing I learned over there - if you're from Newcastle, you are a Geordie; if you're from Sunderland, you're a "Mackem."
