Radiohead's Greatest Hits
Reportedly on the ropes, EMI's putting together a Radiohead Greatest Hits collection with a release date right around the In Rainbows tour. What a coincidence. We're sure the guys are thrilled about it. Can you predict a tracklist? Our guess here.

In regards to your guess, "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" couldn't be on the album, since In Rainbows is not an EMI release, correct?

I'm sure something from Kid A would pop out despite the lack of singles.

I'm thinking Creep will be the only Pablo cut. I Might Be Wrong, Optimistic or Idioteque, and Reckoner will probably be a single by the time the compilation comes out

creep / stop whispering / high & dry / fake plastic trees / my iron lung / karma police / paranoid android / no surprises / everything in its right place / optimistic / idioteque / pyramid song / knives out / 2+2=5 / there there
that's 15 songs, which is usual for a greatest hits package. i wouldn't be surprised to see "airbag" pop up on there too, or "street spirit"

Radiohead has, surprisingly, only had 3 top ten Modern Rock singles in their career. All three will be on a greatest hits package.
Creep

Radiohead would still receive their royalties for this despite their departure from EMI though, right? Same with the whole discbox thing that EMI put out...the members of Radiohead still make money off of it...not In Rainbows money, but it's money...

Honestly people. I know it was centuries ago in internet time, but does anybody remember that In Rainbows was a self-released LP? This means that none of those tracks will be on EMI's "greatest hits" package. Sheesh.

I am a rabid semi-closeted Radiohead fanatic, but am I seriously the only one who thinks this is a GOOD idea? Obviously you want to listen to the albums, but as a primer for somebody new to the band- especially someone who picks it up just for "Creep"- this pretty much any tracklist you choose is going to blow some minds.

This compliation will fail
Radiohead aren't a greatest hits kinda band. Each album is completely different from one another. It just won't work.

The compilation isn't for anyone but EMI, you know. It isn't a good idea, it's a way for a label that holds a large amount of Radiohead's material to cash in even though Radiohead left them. Also, In Rainbows material can't be on this, especially since Radiohead will hardly be happy with a decision to release a greatest hits album. Logic, people!

Maybe they will make a B side a single. Could it be Talk Show Hosts time to shine?
Actaully a B sides compilation would be pretty amazing.

It'll likely go like this...
All of these:
- Creep
- Just
- Fake Plastic Trees
- High and Dry
- Street Spirit
- Paranoid Android
- Karma Police
- No Surprises
- There There
- 2+2=5
Plus, Three to Five of these choices:
- My Iron Lung
- Optimistic
- Pyramid Song
- How To Disappear Completely
- Everything In Its Right Place
- Idioteque
- Let Down
2-3 of these choices:
- I Might Be Wrong
- Knives Out
- The National Anthem
- Lucky
- Go To Sleep
- Airbag
One-two of these:
- You And Whose Army?
- Stop Whispering
- Talk Show Host
- A Wolf At The Door
- Planet Telex
- Bones
- Life In A Glass House
- True Love Waits
- You
That'll be about a 17 song tracklisting or so. Although it may be shorter than that because Radiohead songs tend to run longer than those on your average greatest hits album.
Who exactly, besides 17-year-old Coldplay fans looking to expand into more "experimental" music, are going to buy this?

No, "Bodysnatchers" or anything from In Rainbows will be on the Greatest Hits, since it is going to be released by EMI. And yes, they will still get royalties from the sales.

There's way too much pablo honey on this tracklisting. And why would 2+2=5 be last? If it makes the cut at all it would be the album opener.

Radiohead is collection of overhyped has-beens that will eventually pass. Its over for them. They have clearly shown that they no longer have the skills to generate any more hits. They are obviously trying their best to hold on to their past as demonstrated in their refusal to release their previous works on I-tunes and the fact that they had to give away their last album -- because it sucked. So now they are too cool to release a greatest hits album. I laugh at their arrogance. I mean, give the fans what they want. If they keep up this nonsense, then the next generation will be flashing the bird to Radiohead.
