R.I.P. TVT
Yeah, the industry keeps on shifting. TVT, the New York-based independent label that brought us Nine Inch Nails back in the day, has reportedly "terminated" most of its employees and is filing for Chapter 11. Looks like the Polyphonic Spree, Pitbull, Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz, Pitbull, Ambulance LTD, and Ying Yang Twins are without a home. Still no word on how this will affect Lil' Jon's forthcoming Crunk Rock. TVT's been in a protracted and costly legal battle with Cash Money Click and, yes, nobody buys records anymore, but we blame the whole mess on Punk Goes Crunk. Just because.

I've got to admit, back in the 90's TVT was one of the labels I paid a lot of attention to because of their artists. Even though their current line-up isn't my taste, it brings a tear to my eye to see them go down,

Ambulance LTD hasn't really put anything out in what? 3 years? They're pretty dead in the water anyways.

I agree with first poster. I don't feel bad for any of the bands signed to this label. I could have told them TVT sucked, so who's giving these bands legal advice I dont know!

Does this mean that Guided By Voices' "Do The Collapse" and "Isolation Drills" (their 2 TVT-released albums) are going to go out of print?
