Thom Yorke DJs NPR, Still Loves Liars

Thom Yorke DJs NPR, Still Loves Liars

Now that we've spent most of our V-Day pausing and playing our way through Thom's interview/DJ set at NPR's All Songs Considered, we are, officially, in the mood. And also we are of a mind that you, too, should indulge in this pastime. Mostly because it's just another in this recent string of instances by which Thom not only increasingly appears to be human -- but the most awesome human. He again rhapsodizes about his love for Liars Drum's Not Dead (yay for officially having at least one thing in common with the guy), plays "Kill Bill Vol. 4." from Modeselektor's Hello Mom ("because it is the most full-on club track, complete with the guys talking in the toilet beforehand"), is asked if he still goes clubbing ("It's all over"), and identifies his favorite lyricist (Madvillian i.e. MF Doom, who is "just on the edge of the freestyling thing all the time ... it's like Bob Dylan but without any folk ... it's like the last 50 years never happened ... it takes a lot of courage to knock out these rhymes the way he does").

Thom seems very down to earth. I like his taste, Madvillain is ill.

Maybe I am out of the loop.

Is there an artist named Madvillian, or is he talking about the MF Doom/Madlib project?
