Worst Album Of 2008 Alert
Punk Goes Crunk? Yes it's only February, but it'll take much shittiness to out suck a compilation that includes New Found Glory covering "Tennessee," Say Anything tackling ODB, and various other semi-popular emo crews putting their whines behind Lil' John, Snoop, 2Pac, B.I.G., OutKast, Akon, pre-steroided Dr. Dre, etc. As you should be able tell by the photo to the right, the project's wrongheaded on a number of levels. For starters: Do you guys know what crunk means? Anyhow, can't believe nobody did "The Whisper Song." Oh right, it's already been done. Flawlessly.

I was just looking at the myspace page. Some dipshits from Ohio went and named their band "The Devil Wears Prada". LOL.

That is a christian band, and the name is more metaphoric than the book makes it sound, and they came before the movie.
the bands on the album are harder working than some gay ass wanna be emo band on mt-fucking-v

it's bad enough that white kids (myself included) drive around in our toyota sedans blasting B.I.G. and DOOM, but at least we keep our acoustic hip hop covers locked in our respective dingy basements. This album is a mistake on so many levels, leave hip hop to the rappers and ben folds.

Obviously this record is silly, but what's even more silly is this website acting as if it's any better and 'above it'. You pump out Arcade Fire and Vampire Weekend to the masses. That crap is basically New Found Glory but instead made for 20-something yuppies.

This whole album is for fun.
The Nmae just goes with their previos concept of "punk goes.." ; like "Punk Goes Acoustic" or "Punk Goes Metal"
The Bands on this a;bume are working harder than any autofamous new metal band you hear on the radio, and their names mean what they believe in.
so go ahead and fucking hate, and try to make yourself better by putting down an album. but the bands on here no matter how "whiney" sounding or how "screamy" they are, they have a purpose, record deals, and fun.
what do you have?..
