Welcome to The Gummy Awards, our annual Best Of The Year readers' poll. The fields are enabled with auto-fill (if you have JavaScript enabled) that will suggest likely candidates if you start typing. Of course you can still vote for anyone, but this makes our lives easier because people have terrible spelling. So please take that extra two seconds, and if your choice is suggested, click it. Also keep your eyes on the finish line: Polls close 12/2 at 6 PM EST. After we board up the voting booth, we'll tally the results and randomly pick an entrant who will receive Gummy voters' top 50 albums of the decade on vinyl courtesy of Insound, an Apple TV, and one bottle of 2007 Peanut Riesling (Gold Medal, Denver Int'l Wine Competition!).

Why are there three choices for best album? Well, each choice earns a certain number of points, with your first choice earning the most and your third choice earning the least. When we tally them up, they'll be sorted by total points. If it's good enough for baseball's MVP and the RoboCup, it's good enough for your ears.
A Few Notes:
- You can't choose the same album for Best Album Of 2009 more than once.
- In the event that you enter an artist/video/album that duplicates a suggestion from the form but uses a different name (ie, "Album Title by Artist" instead of the form-suggested "Artist - Album Title"), your vote will not be counted.
- Compilations and soundtracks should be entered as Various Artists - ...
- For the Indie Crush category, enter the person's real name (Wiki it!), not stage name or "dude from Phoenix."
- The Best New Artist category (new this year!) is intended to celebrate acts who had their first releases in 2009, but if your choice first had an EP or 7" last year, that's cool too. Just use your judgment. You have great judgment!
- If our randomly selected grand prize winner is under 21, he/she will receive non-alcoholic Jeff Dunham merch in place of the Peanut Riesling (Gold Medal, Denver Int'l Wine Competition).
- If you're looking to jog your memory, here's what rocked our stereos this year.
OK, go...
