Grizzly Bear And Spoon Remix Feist

Even when Leslie's wielding an explosive stick, it can be difficult remembering she has more tunes than one iPod commercial. This week, though, Arts & Crafts are giving us a reminder (ha) that, yes, Feist can do more than count to four by releasing the "I Feel It All" single with remixes by Britt Daniel, Gonzales, and Grizzly Bear. The former two take on the single, Grizzly do The Reminder's first single "My Moon My Man." So far there's just a clip of the Grizz mix, but 'tis a pretty, flourish-filled clip indeed, my man. Feist Wins Shortlist Music Prize For The Reminder

We'd say this is a nice cap off to Leslie's big year, but does anybody really care about the Shortlist? The Reminder did beat the likes of Kala, Sound Of Silver, †, Neon Bible, and Burial's Untrue for the award,...  CONTINUE READING FEIST WINS SHORTLIST MUSIC PRIZE FOR THE REMINDER»

Radiohead, Cat Power, Feist, Robyn Hitchcock Help Jools Holland Celebrate 200

We tip our caps to Jools Holland regularly around here, for his musicianship whenever we blow the dust off our Squeeze records, but more frequently when he hosts musicians we love on that BBC show of his. A show which...  CONTINUE READING RADIOHEAD, CAT POWER, FEIST, ROBYN HITCHCOCK HELP JOOLS HOLLAND CELEBRATE 200»

New Feist Video - "I Feel It All"

"1234" and "My Moon My Man" man Patrick Daughters teams up with Feist one more time, and again demonstrates his fear of wasting film with another awesome, one-take clip of lovely Leslie, feeling it all in a field of trash...  CONTINUE READING NEW FEIST VIDEO - "I FEEL IT ALL"»

When Perez Met Feist

Even back in February with only a "My Moon My Man" reminder of her coming LP, we figured this year would give Leslie a "Chan-like raise in stature" -- but 2007's gone well beyond that, turning out to be some...  CONTINUE READING WHEN PEREZ MET FEIST»

Mad TV Parodies iPod, SNL Parodies iPhone

At this point we've seen the Feist-y iPod Nano commercial enough times that even a parody of it tests our patience. That, and this Mad TV parody's kinda dumb (like Mad TV). Caveats aside, it does give us a taste...  CONTINUE READING MAD TV PARODIES IPOD, SNL PARODIES IPHONE»

Kanye Samples Feist On Twista's "Well It's Time"

Pretty sure we used "What's he gonna sample next, Feist?!" as an LOL punchline at some point, but as we saw at the Emmys, Kanye's good at bringing himself in on the joke.
