Miley Cyrus Vows To Ruin Rude, Stinky Radiohead

Kanye West wasn't the only singer Radiohead allegedly dissed at the Grammys. Teen pop star Miley Cyrus was so devastated that her fellow Grammy performers wouldn't chill with her backstage, she left the ceremony early! So she promises to "ruin"...  CONTINUE READING MILEY CYRUS VOWS TO RUIN RUDE, STINKY RADIOHEAD»

Thom Yorke, Chris Brown, O.J. Comments Cut From Kanye Storytellers

You've gotten a glimpse at "Stronger," but what really went down at Kanye's VH1 concert will require some imagination. "During the taping, according to a Reuters reporter, West was aggrieved that Radiohead singer Thom Yorke had allegedly snubbed him backstage...  CONTINUE READING THOM YORKE, CHRIS BROWN, O.J. Thom Yorke's Grammy Commercial Celebrates The Music That Makes Him

Proving the latest batch of NARAS nominees is less a momentary fluke of good taste and more a concerted effort to Matter In 2009, the Grammys are blowing out this year's show with the most self-consciously hip advertising campaign to...  CONTINUE READING THOM YORKE'S GRAMMY COMMERCIAL CELEBRATES THE MUSIC THAT MAKES HIM»

New Thom Yorke - "Tchk Harrowdown Jump Rmx"

Who would have figured the guy who wrote "No Surprises," "Electioneering," and named an album Hail To The Thief to be sorta invested in the results of the United States' Presidential election. Yesterday Thom posted this up on deadairspace: in...  CONTINUE READING NEW THOM YORKE - "TCHK HARROWDOWN JUMP RMX"»

New Björk (Feat. Thom Yorke) - "Nattura"

Björk sounds great on her new single "Nattura." Thom Yorke (that guy from Radiohead) adds smeary, windy way-ambient backing vocals, but the most prominent ingredient is Lightning Bolt drummer Brian Chippendale's dark, heavily tribal percussion. (He also brought that amazing...  CONTINUE READING NEW BJöRK (FEAT. THOM YORKE) - "NATTURA"»

Reznor Vs. Radiohead

Or, Reznor Vs. In Rainbows, if you will. As you all know, they've both found success experimenting with album price points in a big way, and debuting music online. And rumor has it they'll both be headlining Lolla '08. On...  CONTINUE READING REZNOR VS. RADIOHEAD»

Thom Yorke DJs NPR, Still Loves Liars

Now that we've spent most of our V-Day pausing and playing our way through Thom's interview/DJ set at NPR's All Songs Considered, we are, officially, in the mood. And also we are of a mind that you, too, should indulge in this pastime. Mostly because it's just another in this recent string of instances by which Thom not only increasingly appears to be human -- but the most awesome human. He again rhapsodizes about his love for Liars Drum's Not Dead (yay for officially having at least one thing in common with the guy), plays "Kill Bill Vol. 4." from Modeselektor's Hello Mom ("because it is the most full-on club track, complete with the guys talking in the toilet beforehand"), is asked if he still goes clubbing ("It's all over"), and identifies his favorite lyricist (Madvillian i.e. MF Doom, who is "just on the edge of the freestyling thing all the time ... it's like Bob Dylan but without any folk ... it's like the last 50 years never happened ... it takes a lot of courage to knock out these rhymes the way he does").

Thom Yorke Plays Acoustically On BBC Radio 2

This morning started with Ronson re-versioning Radiohead, this past Saturday had Thom Yorke doing a little of the same -- playing unplugged-like on BBC Radio 2's Jonathan Ross Show. He also did an interview, discussing In Rainbows (of course) and...  CONTINUE READING THOM YORKE PLAYS ACOUSTICALLY ON BBC RADIO 2»

"In Rainbows is, at least in our opinion, our classic album - our Transformer, our Revolver, our Hunky Dory."

A simply awesome Thom interview, in which, among other things, we find out just how many people paid the maximum allowed £99.99 for the In Rainbows download: 15! Betcha they remember each one of those 15's name, too. Which would make for the ultimate icebreaker next time you bump into the band hanging out with Britt Daniel at HiFi.

Thom Yorke On The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year

Understandably, jaws are left slacked when Thom turns up via video to ask the "celebrity" panel a question regarding In Rainbows on this British quiz show. All jaws save Lily Allen's, which is quick to start flapping on about how the free download bit was "bad precedent," pooping on the party. She hasn't even delivered yet and already she sounds like my mom.

Mini CRS, Mini Thom Yorke Make A Video For "Us Placers"

Kanye, remember when times were simpler, when you had your innocence and shit wasn't so ham-fistedly black and white? Radiohead Makes A Commercial Just In Case You Haven't Heard About In Rainbows

Stereogum Presents... OKX: A Tribute To OK Computer

There's no way Pablo Honey or even The Bends could have prepared us for OK Computer.
