New Wilco - "Glad It's Over"

It's a tad strange listening to a Wilco song without a Volkswagen commercial attached to it, but we'll deal. The previously unreleased "Glad It's Over"'s a slippery toe-tapping Sky Blue Sky outtake that appears on the previously mentioned, Death Cab...  CONTINUE READING NEW WILCO - "GLAD IT'S OVER"»

Wilco, Juno, Hillary Visit Saturday Night Live

The revolving doors at 30 Rock gave passage this weekend to a varied set of Saturday Night Live guests: pro-Obama rockers Wilco, pro-Clinton politician Hillary Clinton, and pro-lesbian thespian Ellen Page. And after all that, it was a pretty weak...  CONTINUE READING WILCO, JUNO, HILLARY VISIT SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE»

Heroes Taps Wilco, Death Cab, My Morning Jacket, The Jesus & Mary Chain For Soundtrack

Heroes doesn't normally give us a lot of reasons to mention it, as pop music is rarely incorporated into their scenes about staving off the apocalypse. There was that one time where some girls were double-dutching to M.I.A.'s "Boyz" (before...  CONTINUE READING HEROES TAPS WILCO, DEATH CAB, MY MORNING JACKET, THE JESUS & MARY CHAIN FOR SOUNDTRACK»

Stream Tonight's Wilco Show

The fifth and final show of Wilco's Winter Residency at Chicago's Riviera Theatre is streaming online (last night's was too, but no one told us). The set will span their entire career (here's last night's setlist), so you'll get a lot of oldies. But also hopefully "Impossible Germany" for the fifth night in a row, 'cause that's the best song Tweedy ever wrote. Log on ... now.

Wilco Weighs In On The Volkswagon Vitriol

For the record, we take no issue with Wilco lending their tunes to VolksWagon's "it gets inside you" ad campaign (except that they're sorta silly, the "You Are My Face" one, anyway). As mentioned last time, though, there's hundreds of...  CONTINUE READING WILCO WEIGHS IN ON THE VOLKSWAGON VITRIOL»
