'Gum Drop Giveaway #71

To help celebrate the fifth year of 33 1/3, one lucky (and hopefully literate) winner gets a copy of every book ever published in the series. In case you're unfamiliar with 33 1/3, it launched in 2003 as a series of books written by various authors (both musical and non) on seminal or influential albums. With titles ranging from Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane Over The Sea, to Nick Drake's Pink Moon, to Black Sabbath's Master Of Reality (penned by the Mountain Goat's John Darnielle), 33 1/3 is known for the unique approaches its authors uses to address their subjects. We personally (and strongly) recommend Drew Daniel's autobiographical and then oral historical take on Throbbing Gristle's 20 Jazz Funk Greats. If you win, here's what you'll be adding to your library:

Dusty Springfield's Dusty In Memphis by Warren Zanes

New Jonathan Boulet Video - "A Community Service Announcement"
This dude's the latest signing to Australia's Modular label, landing with a tidy package of promotional offerings: a catchy, moistly breezy indie-pop debut single that couldn't be better titled for a meet-the-artist track; a subtly arresting/marginally tricked-out video; and a... (more)
