'Gum Drop Giveaway #77

A Lomography store opened last month in the West Village. In honor of anything opening in this current economy, and courtesy of the band Company Of Thieves, we're offering up a Diana+ camera and Camera Starter Kit plus Chicago trio Company of Thieves' Ordinary Riches, which came out yesterday. The Starter Kit includes the Diana+ Camera (with lens cap and shutter lock), Diana Vignettes photo and story book, and, of course, an instruction manual. This is what it all looks like:

Company of Thieves' debut Ordinary Riches is out via NYC's Wind-up Records. You can get more info about Genevieve, Marc, and Mike Ortiz at their MySpace. Here they are in the woods:

For more information about Diana+ and Lomography, head to Lomography's site.

CONTEST ENDS 03/11/09 AT 12PM EST.

One entry per person. Giveaways are open only to 'Gum Drop subscribers. By entering your e-mail address you are signing up for our weekly exclusive MP3 + contest newsletter. You can always unsubscribe if you don't like it, and you'll still be eligible to win any sweepstakes you entered. Winners must claim their prizes within 7 days of the contest closing, or forfeit, so make sure our emails don't end up in your spam folder. Prizing is fulfilled by third party partners and can often take at least eight weeks to arrive.

Joanna Newsom - "Kingfisher"
We've heard the stylistically diverse "81" pastoral and jazzy "Good Intentions Paving Company" outing. Now, after adding the gorgeous 9-minute madrigal/short story "Kingfisher" to the Have One On Me tracklist, the only thing to be sure of is that the... (more)

Under Byen - "Alt Er Tabt" Video (Stereogum Premiere)
Onetime BTW Under Byen's fourth album Alt Er Tabt ("All Is Lost") is out in April. The Denmark group's followup to 2006's Samme Stof Som Stof definitely has an anguished, although not done-for feel. In their new form, they're without... (more)

Four years after the worthy Derdang Derdang, London's Archie Bronson Outfit are set to followup that last LP's dark blues/rusty grooved garage rock with a long-awaited third album, titled Coconut. On production is sorta-ex-DFA-dude Tim Goldsworthy, whose stellar C.V. includes... (more)
