Hey! I I think I just figured out the answer to my question, so I wonder if there's a way to delete the message I posted an hour or so ago.
It turns out I had a QuickTime player plug-in installed in my version of Firefox 2, and had it set as the default media player for MP3 files.
I just changed that setting, so I think I may have solved the problem of what was making my browser crash.

Hi! I'm new to this forum and could use some help figuring out how the MP3s work.
First off, I should say I'm a disabled senior and am a little slow on the uptake, so it takes me a while to figure things out on these computers. (And since this is such an old thread, I wonder if anyone will even be reading this.)
But I thought I would start here to see what happens.
I really like the song "Someone Like You" by David Vandervelde, and so I've been coming to this page to listen to it each day. The trouble is that with my free dial-up connection it takes about twenty minutes (or more?) for the song to download. So, I'm wondering if theres a way for me to save it to my computer so I can listen to it whenever want.
I'm running Windows 2K on an old hand-me-down laptop and use Firefox 2. BTW, if I try clicking the down arrow at the right of the MP3 player that pops up to play the song, it crashes Firefox. I noticed what looks like the QuickTime logo popping up before the song starts to download. Do I need to install QuickTime?
If this is the wrong place to post questions, I hope you won't flame me to badly, and will point me to where I should be asking them.
