Over-reacting much people? Crying and ranting and being mad? I don't give a bat's ass what soundtrack this is, I'm just happy I'm getting all these new songs from all these great artists!!

Activision should recall the game and replace the Kurt avatar with a Courtney one.

Man, the readers of this site are weird! They like weird lo-fi and random noises while a solid pop song like this gets no recognition? BOO.

Thanks once again Stereogum for introducing me to this solid band! Definitely the Summer Jam of 2009, no doubt.

People are expected to pay for a CD full of this? It sounds like a demo I would have recorded five years ago with my Acoustica MP3 mixer and my guitar processor-pedal thing's built in drum machine.

I wonder if Pitchfork will have to review the soundtrack now?

This is a great song, thanks Stereogum.

I dunno, it kind of sounds like Worldwide Suicide. Granted, it is only a few seconds, obscured by some baseball guy talking over it, but it doesn't sound miles away from the band's sound or anything epic and life-changing. I'm still looking forward to the new record though.

I usually defend U2 but this combo of terrible awful song and corporate whoring is just too much for me.

The Dam Funk remix is the only good version on the single, the other two are too experimental and drain the original's fun with typical remix tropes.

On Videogum

Well now I know not to take anything you say about music seriously, because there are clearly more than 2 chords in the song.

That said, there should be 0 chords in this song, because this song shouldn't exist. I'm glad I can agree with Videogum on something, especially something as yucky as this. Hurray.

Addendum: I know I come off as angry and crass, but as I've mentioned before, I live in Toronto, Canada, and everyday I am drowning in a sea of hipsters who bash bands I like. So, I end up being in the minority here by enjoying alternative rock, and they're the popular kids because they all follow Pitchfork trends. And they do it so blindly too. Like, EVERYONE loves Major Lazer. But if you even remotely enjoy something like Rise Against...BOO! Scorn! :(

1. Where is "all the praise"? Scrolling down the page I didn't see one positive comment about the band.
2. They are nothing like Radiohead, other than the vocal similarities. Radiohead is for artsy-smartypants, Muse is big melodramatic arena rock.
3. (Open question) What is up everyone's butt? This is a great song, it's catchy and dark and slinks along with sweet synths and a skittering R&B rhythm. Muse are one of the last bastions of solid alternative music left. Would y'all rather listen to awful drivel like Black Eyed Peas, Sean Kingston, or Asher Roth? Or the bland, flavourless pap that is Volcano Choir (and/or Bon Iver), Grizzly Bear, and Dirty Projectors?

Aw, I like when people admit to liking artists that more than 10 people have heard of. Especially around these parts where everyone just listens to Pitchdork tunes. Good on ya! :)

But what if you're not the cliche jock guy? What if you're stuck dead in the middle, belonging neither to the dumb right or the haughty left?? Then you've got both sets of girls, artsy and barbie, not even remotely interested in you! :(

To Drake's credit, this IS a better song than Chris Brown's 'Forever'.

Also, I may be alone in saying this, but Eminem's verse is pretty good!

This is confusing. Ellen is very funny, but no matter how hard she'll try, nothing she makes up can ever match the idiotic brilliance that was drug-addled Paula.

Everyone listen to your favorite mid-tempo song while looking at this little moving George here and your day will be that much better. I'm listening to Edwyn Collins' 'A Girl Like You' and George is dancing to it so nicely. :D
