Seriously, You don't have to support an good artist with money, whatever, but at least support a good artist in words.

But the best song on the album is still "Who Do You Think"...

I'm so confused at why Kidacomputerok keeps bringing up "Remain in Light". I see absolutely no connection in the cover art. None at all. And love it or hate it, if your popularity is waning and you want to win new fans, you give away a free album online. It becomes big news, and people that would never buy your album will download it, and maybe 10% of them will end up becoming fans. Maybe you lose some money at first, but if one out of every 50 people end up buy half of Trent's backcatalog it will more than make up for the loss.

Something about this cover is remenicent of Pavement. Seriously, it's better than the cover art for "Apologies to the Queen Mary". I think I could live with it.

So, I actually prefer these versions of the songs. Not saying I don't like the originals of course. But these are much more pleasant in a very Mogwai way. I'm almost disapointed by the disclaiming. I want them to pursue this direction more.

I'm really glad Dan was out in front singing the lead. The entire band is great, but I really feel like he is the definition of their unique sound and deserves a lot of respect for being a great musical talent. Here's hopeing all the kids hear that song and run out and buy "Yellow House" on accident thinking it's on there.

I'm more excited than ever about this album. Another month before I can enter the discussion though. I also really loved 'A Hundred Miles Off', and I'm glad there are people here to defend it. Does anyone else feel there are aspects of The Walkmen's themes, consistency, and trajectory that draws several parallels between them and The National? I'm not saying they sound the same, but I think they are ... shaped alike.
