Who am I kidding? I'd love to see this.

But the Jicks live sets got much better as both the material improved and they got Janet in the lineup. There's nothing Janet doesn't immediately make more kickass. If this is bupkis and all we get is more Jicks, I'm perfectly happy with that. Add Nastanovich to the Jicks lineup, while we're at it.

I love how they just put the artist's names for every category, no matter how little they had to do with the choreography or directing. Can't those guys get just a little credit?

Their Portland show was great (and the Crystal was as packed as I'd ever seen it). It was nice to hear Jason bring out a few old Grandaddy favorites done in a more stripped-down synth-less style, especially "Levitz". My only complaint is that Neko is a little too perfect. I was finally able to nab "Middle Cyclone" on vinyl at the show, though.

I don't really care about the rest of the stuff in that set-- no Blu-Ray player, no 5.1 setup, and I rarely watch concert DVDs-- but hell, how much for just the vinyl releases?

"Perfect From Now On" sounded so angry and bitter-- maybe from having to re-record the whole thing twice-- that it turned me off of BtS. I still listen to the early stuff, but now I realize that it's been 12 years since then and I should probably give their newer stuff another shot. Suggestions on which album to start in with?
