Let's not forget what happened with the beer glass. Morrissey is clearly fed up.
A support artist has to swallow all that but the headliner?... let alone Morrissey. I'm pretty sure someone else in Germany would had gladly taken the place of that idiot. If you don't like the headliner, either stay at home or leave after the support act.

Multi-colored crayola... trippy.
Why didn't anyone think of this when I was a kid :(

FINALLY, the moment all the stupid ">" commenters have been waiting for!
May I suggest at least 5 entry fields for best album next time around. This year has been very damn good. Don't even know who I'll be voting for yet. :[

I'd like to add that these 09 picks are three of my favorites of the year, but I'm not 100% on them being on a "decade" list. Mostly because good music is greatly benefited by time.
Same beef I have with any 09 albums on decade lists.

Nicely surprised by how much I like this song.
The cover art is absolutely terrible, though. Oh well, music is what counts. Eh?

Just like any other lists: some nice picks, a bunch of awful ones, a couple of "no way that album from X band is better than their X album" and, of course, the order. In Rainbows ahead of Kid A makes my head want to explode. (Really?!)
As for 2009, I spotted three albums. Unless I'm missing something due to eye exhaustion.
41. Wild Beasts – Two Dancers
68. The Horrors - Primary Colours
86. The Twilight Sad - Forget The Night Ahead

Oops! Had forgotten to comment after reading the article. I stand by my initial reaction. They say it's a list of "right now" but then include a song dating back to 2006. That makes it an even greater fail.
One could never define "a sound" for an entire region, especially if you consider that all these people are transplants from random cities who probably moved to NY to "make it", or at least have a shot at something. Where do you think The National would be if they had stayed in Cincinnati?
I hereby place this list in the lowbrow, far left, despicable quadrant of my approval matrix.

Most of this band's b-sides are very good. That's obviously a good thing. Even when these are supposed to be "not as good as album material", it's always disheartening to listen to a crappy b-side from a band you like.

I'd like to vote for whoever made that fake Twitter status image for the MonkeyKisser CatLover about the pussy still owning his bananas. It was so hilarious that I still remember it. True sign of a classic.

It's clear to me that Oprah believes in the 2012 prophesy and she wants to spend the last year(+) or her life spending her quatrillion dollar fortune.
Way to go, O!

I can't watch all of this! I need a partialized, agenda-driven, highlight YT clip that shows me the most important sound bytes.

Didn't find it funny, more like a uh? wtf? feeling. Underachieving parents willing to do anything for money and fame.. very american!(?)
As for the deleted scenes, I laughed at the Pete Rose bit, not so much at LaToya.

I feel bad for the girl. Given a chance, all those fans would rip her apart to take her place. No one is rooting for her.
Also, I saw way too many people over 20...

Hey, you don't know if John Cusack was hit hard by the ailing economy or if he was a client of Bernie Madoff. The man has got to make a buck. Time's aticking.
That's the same excuse I give for Robert DeNiro and Al Pacino, btw.

I can't fairly contribute to the discussion because I went with my sister and the following three shows were sold out, so we left. I probably wouldn't mind watching this on tv someday before we get wiped out of the Earth, but I don't feel like spending 12(!!!) of my hard earned bucks on it.
What I did watch this weekend was a SyFy special about the 2012 theories. Completely fascinating and, at times, hilarious piece of tv special:
- Some hippies say the Mayans could had predicted an enlightenment stage and that life will be better after that day. (This guy got about 20s of the 2-hour show)
- A man who hates life very much says a solar flare will hit us so big that it will DESTROY the Earth's magnetic field and make the Earth rotate backwards (I'm guessing this is the theory used for the movie) Naysayers think the chances are nill.
- Another guy talked about a military expedition after WWII that discovered the Earth's magnetic north pole was moving closer to the geographical north pole and when the two coincide, it will send the magnetic one like a tilt to the equator. Bringing havoc with it.
- Disruption on the sun's surface could damage our electrical and communication equipment. That could make people go ape.
Other random pieces suggested that survivors from the Atlantis continent are responsible for all the knowledge of the Mayans and Egyptians. When they discovered they were doomed, they did an ark of their own to spread knowledge. While another part said that Mars went through a cataclysms of their own. Some refugees got to Earth and are the ones responsible for Atlantis/Mayans/Egyptian knowledge. There was also a guy talking about some fields on the planet's core that no one has ever proved they even exist.
That's all I remember. Now you don't have to watch it anymore.

"Sarah Palin is my hero"
And it showed! No arguments. Clueless. She goes to an interview show and doesn't want to respond the questions asked... Now all she needs is a little right-wing town that needs a clueless Mayor.

I don't see anything weird about these videos. He wanted to give it as much of a natural feel as you could do with stop motion animation. When I want to do something that looks real I will take pictures/shoot videos doing it and then try to replicate it.
He actually made the voice actors act out the scenes as well. Saw a clip of George Clooney doing it.
This movie might just live up to its name. Looking forward to it!

They have The Shins "Wincing the Night Away" at 13, but "Chutes too Narrow" at 75. Really? I love Wincing the Night Away, but Chutes too Narrow is classic.
