I miss the days when Weezer's song structure wasn't so simplistic / lazy / boring.

the song is way better than the video.

on Indie Rockers Join Forces For Obama (Again) at August 29, 2008 1:03 AM

"Magical Mystery" reference AND a visual duplication of the Rolling Stones' Hot Rocks album cover in the same song!? Good grief.

Feist is such a fox! And so talented. Be still my heart.
Haha, how cheesy/annoying is the Good Morning America lady!
"How about Feist and 'I Feel It AAALLL' " gag.

As far as the album goes - the songs are great and the vocals are good enough, what kills it for me it for me is the production! The so-called indie genius TVOTR guy blew it with his "tinkerbell on cough medicine" B.S. It was purposely produced in it's noisy almost sloppy fashion for the sake of being indie-cool but it really hurts the songs. Seriously, remove the droning hum from "Falling Down" and I could love it so much more.

Wow... The collide of my world as a 5 yr old with my world as a 25 yr old. Who'd have thought...

haha, hilarious and clever ad campaign.

on Be Kanye By Drinking More Vodka at July 10, 2008 11:38 AM
Score = 1 Vote up Vote down

The first one was his official pick? Soooo sloooow. I think the second version (stop-action) was by far the best. ...Also, Kanye's misuse of the the number 2 is excruciating.

Band To Watch: Blank Dogs

Blank Dogs are actually singular: It's the insanely prolific one-man Brooklyn-based band of Mr. Blank Dog. We don't know too much about the biography of the guy behind the bedroom new-wave pop/punk and he's usually covering his face with masks...

Premature Evaluation: Oasis - Dig Out Your Soul

Pushing Noel off a stage in Toronto might bruise the erstwhile Oasis mouthpiece's ribs (maybe even his spirits) and cause the band to cancel a show or two, but nothing can stop the slow procession toward a new Oasis album....
