Ezra Koenig? What a Jew bastard.
And since the Homme afterlash has left many of you babies soft and emotional, I guess I should add that I'm a Jew and allowed to call people Jews.

Speaking as a liberal and an American, I can safely say that the majority of liberal Americans like to be politically correct assholes and cry about everything. I'm in the minority on this particular issue.
Conor Oberst says faggot. I've heard Malkmus drop the word faggot. Believe it or not, but a good majority of your indie rock superstar idols utilize the term. I can pretty much guarantee you that when most people say "faggot" in a situation akin to this (where he is not using the word faggot to put a gay person or the gay culture down) the last thing on our mind is hating gay people. When using, we're trying to insult and aggravate someone and faggot has a strong connotation, thus it being a popular word to use in such situations.
Get over yourselves. Christ.

Everything this band creates is flawless. Out of the 53 Sigur Rós songs I have, I can't think of one that I cringe or even frown upon when hearing.

Surely you can understand that some people, particularly gay men who have been on the receiving end of a throaty "Faggot!" call, don't like the term 'faggot' because many who use the term are seeking to express not only their inability to accept the sexual orientation of another person, but their blatant repugnance towards homosexuals, or more specifically gay men.
In the instances you're talking about it's a different context, sure, but it's the same word that for the most part is the product of discrimination in our society. I'd love to be called a "cheery faggot," but instead, using it as an insult, like Homme did/does, perpetuates the discriminatory connotations of the word for the gay people who may be lucky enough to be on the receiving end.
But, yeah, sticks and stones, people....
